Appeal for Rally Hosts
We have no hosts for the rallies at Buttyland, Ferryside or Baglan. This means that if this continues there will be no rallies throughout May and early June.
Of the 54 host slots available, 20 are currently hosted by members of the committee. 11 slots are empty and 22 are being hosted by group members.
With a group membership of over 400 and an active rallying membership of about 100 we desperately need more members to host a rally.
It is unreasonable to expect the committee to host more than they already are.
We fully accept and understand that there are many people who either through ill health, advancing infirmity etc cannot host a rally. But there must be people out there who could host.
So, this is an appeal to the majority of the group membership who have not volunteered to step in and host just one rally.
If you are worried over what is required, rest assured, you will be given help. There are two venues at least coming up, (Buttyland & Brownhills) that are caravan parks, where after the vans are parked up, most of your tasks are completed. Just sell a few raffle tickets and that’s it.
If your new to the group, then hosting a rally is a quick way of getting to know the regulars.
So please, if your wavering, give it a go and host a rally. Contact any of the committee to volunteer. Contact details for them are in the rally book.
Reminder that if we cannot get hosts for a rally, that rally will be cancelled and doing so may even jeopardise our using that venue in future years.
Thank you

|
Please note that the rally start times are stated for every rally we all attend. |
|
Entry to the site before this time places the members, the rally hosts and the club in jeopardy.
The third party and accidental damage insurance the club must have to hold rallies will not start until the official published start times.
So if you are early to a rally and the worst happens, like, make yourself a cup of tea and find you have a gas leak which ignites and the rally site suffers damage or loss as a result, the club insurance will not cover the costs. The rally site owners are at liberty to recover the damage cost from the individual who caused the problem.
Easily avoided. Don’t arrive before the official start time. Thank You |
